At The Holistic Horse & Pony Centre, we offer professional horse riding lessons for all age groups in Ockham.
Come join our immersive horse riding experience!
Our lessons are designed to develop a partnership between you and your horse. Tacking and grooming is an essential way of getting to know your horse, getting you used to each other. We don’t use or encourage use of whips or spurs for our riding lessons and you will be taught in a way that builds harmony between you and your horse.
Please note due to the size of horses, we have a weight limit of 12 stones.

Adult Private and Group Lessons
All lessons start with a 30-minute session for grooming, tacking up and bonding with your horse.
Please note that due to the size of our current horses, we have a weight limit of 12 stones.

30-minute £65 per lesson
45-minute £75 per lesson
60-minute £85 per lesson
Weekends ~ Saturdays & Sundays space permitting

GROUP LESSONS
with Lucy, freelance senior coach
(maximum 4 riders)
Riders must be independent at the walk and trot and working on canter.
Friday Mornings 10:30-11:30 am (arrive by 10:00 am)
60-minute £75 per rider/lesson (pay-as-you-go)
60-minute £70 per rider/lesson (paid monthly)
HOLISTIC APPROACH RIDING LESSONS with Wendy, Proprietor

EQUINE ASSISTED COACHING SESSIONS with Wendy
This session can be ridden or non-ridden.

Sharer Packages
Build a relationship with your “own” horse – all the joy, less than half the expense!
Riding Share Packages
- 2 rides per week for £95 per week
- 3 rides per week for £130 per week
- maximum ride time is 1-hour with a maximum of 2.5 hours with your share horse
- Tuesdays to Fridays ~ mornings or afternoons
- Tuesdays to Fridays ~ evenings (in the summer only)
Non-Riding Share Packages
- care for one of our retired riding horses, who still take part in our equine-assisted services
- come as often as you like £20 per week or £75 per month, which helps pay for their potions and lotions and therapy treatments
Join a Lesson, Hack, Groundwork Lesson or Stable Management Theory Session
- Sharer Group ~ with an instructor (1 hour) additional £20
- Sharer Private ~ with an instructor (1 hour) additional £45
